Composition
Per delayed-release tablet (Perduretas): Codeine phosphate, 50 mg.
Excipients: Maize starch, Liquid vaseline, Arabic gum, Talc, Polyvinyl acetate, Lactose, Glycerine monostearate, Orange colouring E-110, Chocolate Brown colouring and Water soluble chlorophyll E-141 c.sp. one Perduretas.

Activity
Perduretas is a new form of medicamentosus consistent administration in tablets that release the active ingredients gradually during various hours. This avoids the inconvenience of repeated administration and an extraordinary regular action is
achieved. One tablet of Perduretas produces an average effect during approximately 10 hours.

Indications
Prevention and treatment of coughs of any origin. Irritable cough, nervous cough. Pharyngitis cough, tracheitis cough and chronic bronchitis cough. As an analgesic for intense pains associated with chronic diseases that require strict medical surveillance.

Incompatibilities and interactions
Perduretas should not be administered to patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors. It potentiates the effects of central analgesics.

Overdose
Massive partake of these tablets may provoke respiratory depression which can be treated with nalorphine and assisted ventilation. In the case of an overdose or accidental ingestion, contact your local poison control centre.

Dosage
As an antitussive drug: Half to one tablet, in the morning and at night, depending on the intensity of the cough.
As an analgesic: The minimum recommended dose is one tablet every 12 hours. The mentioned doses may be increased only if recommended by a doctor.

Method of administration
Perduretas should not be dissolved in water; they must be swallowed whole and not chewed. However they can be broken in two pieces to divide the doses or facilitate swallowing.
